EPDM rubber sheets (ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber sheets) can be vulcanized by using conventional method of using sulphur or by DCP (dicumyl peroxide).
Application:
Due to the highly saturated polymer chain of EPDM, we highly recommend it for out door uses as it extremely resistant to oxidation, U.V. Rays and Ozone. However, it does not have good oil resistance or adhesion properties.
It is impermeable to water and is used as roofing sheet and waterproofing membrane. It’s also resistant to many chemicals and solvents and shows good resistance to many corrosive chemicals.
